As a part of a project entitled `Bulgarian Cultural and Historic heritage through the eyes of a foreigner` a study trip with Japanese studies academic staff members and BA/MA students was conducted. The team visited the city of Plovdiv and the archeological site in Starosel on September 24 and 25, 2018. The students had the opportunity to get acquainted with specific tourist destinations of Bulgaria and with the specifics of the tour guide profession. The students introduced Plovdiv to guests from Japan in an authentic atmosphere, answered questions, participated in exercises and theory seminars.
